The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has served a fine of GHC2,000 and a game ban to CEO of Great Olympics Mr. Olloboi Commodore, owing to misconduct in accordance with misconduct in accordance with Article 34(9) of the GFA Premier League Regulations and Article 6(1) of the GFA Disciplinary Code.
This follows after an interview he granted to an Accra based radio station Happy FM where he said ‘if not for dubious officiating they (referring to Accra Hearts of Oak SC) wouldn’t be where they are now”.
According to the GFA, his comment is deemed to be ungentlemanly and likely to bring the game into disrepute. The Association also find the comments made as an accusation you made against match officials without proof.
Mr Oloboi Commodore has been directed by the GFA ‘s Disciplinary Committee to use the same medium within three (3) days to render an apology to the Referees of the GFA and the entire Association, failing to comply he faces a further 6 months ban.
The Oly Dade CEO has also been warned that any future misconduct shall receive a more severe punishment.
