Ghana Premier League side, Techiman Eleven Wonders have been served with a fine by the The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
The Techiman based club was fined GHc10,000 for misconduct in their Match Week 18 game against Asante Kotoko at the Ohene Ameyaw park in Techiman.
According to GFA, Techiman Eleven Wonders was charged with two counts including the reckless decision by the club to admit fans into the stadium even when there had been explicit instruction not to do so.
The Match Reports particularly noted that the stands were filled to full capacity and social distancing was not observed.
The Disciplinary Committee therefore holds that Techiman Eleven Wonders breached Article 2 and Article 8 of the GFA Matchday Covid 19 Protocols.
Also, they breached Article 42(1) of the GFA Premier League Regulations and GFA Directives on Ticketing by collecting money at the entry points of the venue clearly indicated by the stamped palm of the supporters.
The club is expected to make payment to the GFA within fourteen (14) days upon receipt of the Ruling. Failure to do so after the deadline, will see Techiman Eleven Wonders FC forfeit points won by the club matches.
