The Compliance and Integrity officer of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Ebusua Dwarfs coach James Kuuku Dadzie for alleging that King Faisal played a fixed match against Asante Kotoko on match day 32 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Crabs gaffer who was appointed barely three weeks ago following the resignation of Ernest Quartey Thompson was quoted by Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM as saying that Kumasi based clubs Asante Kotoko and King Faisal deliberately fixed the result of their game in order to ensure the ‘Isha Allah’ boys avoid relegation from the Ghana Premier League.
According to a press statement from the GFA, the ex Black stars defender’s comments on ”Kumasi based Oyerepa FM. were improper”.
‘‘Per the provisions of the GFA Disciplinary Code and Code of Ethics, Kuuku Dadzie has a duty to disclose or provide such information to the Association to deal with it”.
”Kuuku Dadzie therefore has by close of business on Thursday, July 8 to provide the Integrity and Compliance officer all relevant information and or evidence required of him through Email integrity@ghanafa.org or call/whatsapp 0593 371735. He can also submit written evidence and present to the office of the General Secretary in Accra”.
”Failing which will attract charges of bringing the game into disrepute and tarnishing the image of Asante Kotoko SC, King Faisal Babes FC and the Ghanaian game”.
The match involving the Porcupine Warriors and King Faisal ended 1-1 stalemate after striker Andy Kumi came off the bench to cancel out a 12th minute goal scored by Ibrahim Zuberu.
