Ghana’s 2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations campaign has come to an end after their Monday night loss to Angola.
In order to have a chance of making it out of the group stage, Ghana played Angola on Monday in a match that they had to win.
But they lost 11-3, so they found themselves on the losing side once more.
Angola had defeated Zambia in their second Group A match, so they entered the match with three points.
Angola’s Sable Antelopes got off to a fast start against Ghana, dominating both halves to end the West African team’s tournament run.
After losing to Zambia, Angola’s group standings were six points, three behind Morocco, the winners of the group.
After three games in Morocco, where they lost to Zambia, the hosts, and Angola, Ghana was unable to earn a point.
On Friday, April 19, the Atlas Lions will play the Group B runners-up in the semifinals, while Angola will play the Group B winner at the magnificent Prince Moulay Abdellah Hall on the same day.
