Addressing the media on the modalities for the two-day coaching and scouting programme, the Africa head of the Royal Commonwealth Society, John Apea said the event’s objective is to provide the opportunity for Ghanaian students who have fantastic talent in football to have the best of education in a top UK boarding school such as BrookeHouse College, while still pursuing a career in football.
“The football clinic is opened to students from ages 11-17 from all schools both private and public with the opportunity to receive the best of coaching tips from two of EPL’s football stars, now coaches,” he said.
“There is limited space for only 200 participants who will be invited after a registration process. The registration is to control the number of applicants, in order for the coaches to have enough time to assess each player,” he added.
Elaine Cunningham-Walker of Everythings Education said her dream is to see children attain their maximum potential through education.
“The football clinic is one way of ensuring that children live their dream and to become the best they wish for themselves. Everythings Education is glad to make this opportunity available to Ghanaian students,” she added.
