The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that beginning next season, it will commence a five aside football in full force.
The five aside football game popularly called ‘Small poles’ is a form of football played with crown corks by young lads on any flat wooden or cemented surface. The game is also aptly named after the size of goalposts.
According to the GFA, a pilot program will be held in Accra and likely extended to the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi before going nationwide.
The GFA added that regulations for the season will soon be available for stakeholder as the Football Association is committed to the development of all competitions under its umbrella including five aside football.
