FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup qualifier: Black Princesses arrive in Ghana after stalemate draw with Zambia

Ghana’s U-20 female national team, the Black Princesses have returned home after Saturday’s FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup qualifier in Lusaka, Zambia.

Ghana drew goalless with the Young Copper Queens of Zambia in the first leg of the FIFA U-20 World Cup qualifier at the Nkoloma Stadium in Zambia on Saturday.

The team touched down in Accra on Monday morning and immediately moved to camp to continue their preparation for the return fixture on Sunday, December 18, 2021 in Accra. .

The FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup is slated for Costa Rica next year.

Ghana are chasing a record sixth straight FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup participation. The Black Princesses made their first World Cup appearance in 2010 and have gone ahead to play in four tournaments on the spin. (2010, 2012,2014, 2016, 2018).

The Black Princesses will host the Young Copper Queens of Zambia in the reverse encounter on Sunday, December 18, 2021 in Accra.
