In the FIFA World Rankings, Ghana has seen a notable decline after their recent matches during the March international break.
During the March international break, Otto Addo’s Black Stars ended up with a 2-2 tie with Uganda’s Cranes and a 2-1 loss versus Nigeria, the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) runners-up.
Ghana, who was formerly rated 67th in the world, is now ranked 68th after the two games, with 1358.77 points in the log.
The Black Stars are still ranked in Africa, sliding to 14th in the CAF rankings, despite a seven-game losing skid.
The top three teams in Africa are currently Morocco, Senegal, and Nigeria, and the top 15 teams are still the same. In June, Ghana will play the Central African Republic and Mali in the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament.
