Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, a son of former Vice President Aliu Mahama has lauded President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for investing in the agriculture sector in northern Ghana.
He said the President Akufo-Addo’s flagship programmes have helped to renew the northern potential.
Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, the founder for Partnership for Poverty Reduction (PPR) was speaking at the 5th northern investment conference in Tamale on Wednesday, August 22, 2019.
It was on the theme, “Celebrating Peace and Unity For Accelerating Development.”
He said without peace there can never be development and urged the people of the region to embrace peace to attract more investors into the area to create jobs for the youth.
Farouk Mahama has been supporting some farmers through PPR in the Yendi area through the supply of insecticide and farm implements.
He also commended the Yaa-Naa for his fatherly role in ensuring that there is absolutely peace in Dagbon.
