Ghana Premier League side, Karela United in a communique announced they have parted ways of head coach, Evans Adotey for the remainder of the 2020/2021 season on health grounds.

The decision comes after the team’s heavy 4-1 defeat to relegation-threatened Ebusua Dwarfs on Monday afternoon.

The former Ghana women’s U17 coach, Adotey has been in charge of the Aiyinase based club over a year after replacing Enos Kwame Adipah.

Karela has been poor in the second half of the season having dropped to 7th position on the league table with 46 points.

It is unclear who will handle the team in Adotey’s absence.

Adotey’s last major job was guiding Ghana to the quarter-final of the 2018 Fifa U17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay.

Karela earned promotion to the Premier League in 2017.

                                         STATEMENT:
