Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has been left out of Spain squad for Euro 2020.
Spain boss Luis Enrique revealed his 24-man panel for this summer’s tournament on May 24, with Ramos missing out after a injury hit season at Real Madrid.
The 35 years old centre-back has only played one game since the end of March while Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte who had his switch from France to Spain approved by Fifa recently makes the 24-man squad.
Sergio Busquets has been named captain in Ramos’ absence.
Ramos has led La Roja to back to back European Championship crowns in 2008 and 2012.
Spain are in Group E along with Poland, Slovakia and Sweden.
