Ghana Premier League side Elmina Sharks have named former Ghanaian International Nii Odartey Lamptey as their interim coach.

The announcement of his appointment was contained in a press release from the Elmina based club on Friday.

The 46-year old replaces Yaw Acheampong, who was axed on Thursday.

Lamptey, is expected to take charge of the team’s training with immediate effect.

Nii Odartey Lamptey has previously coached Sekondi Eleven Wise in the Ghana Premier League.

His first game is against Asante Kotoko on March 5.
