Record AFCON winners, Egypt have announced the final list that will participate in the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2021, which will start on January 9 in Cameroon.

The Pharaohs coach named 25 players, led by Liverpool star Mohamed Salah. There was a return call for Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” of Aston Villa player, after a long period of absence due to knee injury.

Coach Carlos Queiroz, side has won the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations for a record seven times, the last of which was in the 2010 edition in Angola after beating Ghana.

The Egyptians are paired with Nigeria, Sudan and Guinea Bissau in Group D.

They commence their campaign against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on January 11.
