David Moyes has agreed a new three-year contract at West Ham and the deal is close to being finalized.

The Hammers secured sixth place in the Premier League last season and with it a place in the Europa League.
Moyes was in charge for a six-month spell at West Ham during the 2017/18 season and rejoined the club in December 2019 after Manuel Pellegrini was sacked.

The Scot, who managed Everton between 2002 to 2013, was linked with a return to Goodison Park earlier in June following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid.

Moyes was previously under consideration to replace Marco Silva at Everton in December 2019, before the club appointed Ancelotti on a four-and-a-half-year contract.
Speaking after West Ham secured European qualification on the final day of the season, Moyes said: “I think it’s a huge achievement from where we came from. It’s the biggest step the club has ever made – to jump this far is incredible. We are in a really good place at the moment.

“I think the players have been remarkable, we have grown as a team and got better and we are in a really good place at the moment. We have to take it on again and keep up the standards we have set.

“If I have the exact same group of players next season I think we can continue to be successful. I am hoping we can add similar characters to the squad next season.”
