The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia in 2024 has been released. Ghana’s Black Princesses have been placed in Group E.

On Wednesday, June 5, the tournament draw was conducted.

Austria, Japan, and New Zealand will face off against Yussif Basigi’s team in the tournament in 2024.

In the 2018 season, Japan defeated Spain in the championship match to win their first title. They lost to Spain in 2022 and again placed second.

Austria will be playing at this level for the first time, whereas New Zealand’s greatest result came in the quarterfinals in 2014.

The number of participating teams increased from 16 to 24 countries, and the 24 qualified teams were split up into six groups of four teams each for the final round.

The African flags of Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Morocco will be raised during the competition.

At the draw were Yussif Basigi and Hannah Ofosu Asare, the National Teams Department’s administrative manager.

Ghans will be looking to break that curse in Colombia, where they have failed to advance past the group stage in their six prior attempts.

Colombia will host the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup from Saturday, August 31, to Sunday, September 22, 2024.
