Ghana’s Black Galaxies outsmarted archrivals Nigeria to book a spot in the 2022 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship to be hosted in Algeria.

The exciting west African derby ended 2-2 in aggregate time after Nigeria scored two unanswered goals in the second half of the game. However, Coach Annor Walker and his lads ousted their Nigerian opponents in a 5-4 penalty win to qualify for the 2023 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship.

Ghana has finally sealed a qualification into the CHAN Tournament for first time since 2014 after missing out on the tournament in the last three editions.

Ghana are two-time silver medalist after reaching the final in the maiden edition in 2009 and in 2014.
