Ghana’s Black Galaxies together with Group C opponents (Sudan and Madagascar) have been awarded three points in their matches against Morocco by 3-0 goal margins.
This comes after reigning champions Morocco missed out from the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN).
This was announced by CAF on Monday when its ”Organizing Committee for the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Algeria 2022 met in accordance with the Regulations in Algiers”.
According to CAF, the Committee decided that Group C will be composed of three teams and the first two teams will qualify for the knockout stages. This means Ghana can qualify with a win over Sudan on Thursday.
Madagascar handed a shock 2-1 defeat to Ghana in their opening match of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) at the Chahid Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine on Sunday.
Coach Annor Walker and his lads will hope to redeem themselves and get a result to remain in contention for a knock-out place when they face Sudan on Thursday.
