Hearts Kotoko

The Ghana Football Association has announced date change of the Champion of Champions clash between archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

The one off game encounter was initially arranged on Sunday, September 4, 2022.

However the change, according to the GFA is due to the crucial CHAN qualifier between Ghana and Nigeria which is fixed for Cape Coast and Abuja respectively.

The 1 leg will take place on Sunday, August 28 while the 2 leg is scheduled for the Moshood Abeola stadium in Abuja on Saturday, September 3, 2022.

The Phobians booked a duel with the Porcupine Warriors following a 2-1 win over Bechem Utd to claim their 12th MTN FA Cup trophy.

Kotoko meanwhile, clinched their 25th Ghana Premier League title – dethroning bitter rivals Hearts of Oak who won the trophy last season.

Last season, the Rainbow Club were winners of the Premier League and the FA Cup titles.

The much anticipated rivalry clash will be played on Monday September 5 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
