Osman Bukari, a winger for the Black Stars, has once again voiced his excitement about joining Austin FC from Red Star Belgrade.

When he was formally introduced as an Austin FC player upon arriving to the team’s facility to have meetings with his new teammates and coaches, he showed his delight about the transfer.

Bukari, who signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Austin FC earlier this year, said he was welcomed to the team like a carnival by supporters.

“Can’t wait to play in front of these amazing fans and in this beautiful city. From the streets of Kwahu Mamfe, Ghana to Austin, Texas. Alhamdullilah for everything” he wrote on his X (former Twitter) page.

Prior to Ghana’s Black Stars’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchups against Mali and the Central African Republic (C.A.R.), Bukari’s official transfer to Austin was revealed.

Bukari participated in and scored in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar before going on to play in the FIFA World Cup.
