The group-stage draw for the CAF men’s U17 AFCON took place Wednesday at the Cercle National de l’Armée in Algiers.
The tournament begins from April 29 to May 19.
Three former champions were drawn into Group C with the likes of Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso and debutants South Sudan.
Meanwhile hosts Algeria were placed in a tricky Group which includes heavyweight Senegal, Congo and debutants Somalia in Group A.
Two-time champions Nigeria have been placed in Group B which features Morocco, South Africa and Zambia.
The matches will take place in the cities of Annaba, Algiers and Constantine and will feature footballers born on or after January 1st, 2006.
Three stadiums have been chosen to host the competition are the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers, the Chahid Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine and the May 19, 1956 Stadium in Annaba.
