Leg 1 of the CAF Confederation Cup semifinal match saw Ghana’s Dreams FC pull off a thrilling 0-0 draw against continental heavyweight Zamalek, creating history in the process. played on Sunday in Cairo.

Although the White Knights had more opportunities in Cairo, they were unable to outplay their well-prepared opponents in the last third.

Jose Gomes, the Portuguese coach, will be worried about his team’s carelessness before their return on Sunday in Kumasi, where Dreams’ goal on the road could be crucial.

Before the first half’s halfway point, Ahmed Hamdi, Mostafa Shalaby, and Shikabala all came dangerously close to ending the scoreless draw. Zamalek exerted a great deal of early pressure.

With Zamalek’s wastefulness in front of goal continuing, Dreams goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi had to be on his toes to repel efforts from Travis Mutyaba and Shikabala.

The impressive Hossam Abdelmaguid did a great job blocking John Antwi’s powerful strike as the visitors began to establish some momentum.

The outcome sets up an exciting second leg that will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Ghana on April 28.

Dreams FC has a historic chance to make it to the final for the first time in the club’s history, and they will be encouraged by their supporters to pull off a historic triumph in Kumasi next weekend.
