Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC will lock horns with Nigerian side Remo Stars in the first preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.
This was revealed on Tuesday, by CAF after a draw was conducted in Cairo.
The Mauves and Yellow lads are making their first appearance in the Champions League having previously competed in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2014 and 2017.
The Ghanaian Champions will host Remo Stars at the Cape Coast Stadium before travelling to Nigeria for the second leg. The first preliminary round is scheduled from 18-20 August for the first leg matches and 25 – 27 August for the second leg encounters.
The second preliminary round is fixed for 15 – 17 September and September 19 – October 1, 2023.
The winner of the two legged games will play against Guinean giants Horoya AC in the second preliminary round to fight for a place in the group stage.
