Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a slim 1-0 victory over Burkinabe side RC Kadiogo in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

A goal from Isaac Oppong sealed the needed vital away win for the Porcupine Warriors at the General Mathieu Kerekou Stadium in Cotonou, Benin.

The winner of the two-legged tie will face either Gaborone United Sporting Club or AS Vita Club of DR Congo in the next round.
