The Confederation of African Football has appointed Malian Boubou Traore as the center referee for the match between record-holders and Egyptian heavyweights Al Ahly and Ghana’s Medeama SC in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League Group D at Cairo International Stadium.
The match commissioner is Libyan Gamal Salem Embaia. Modibo Samake (Assistant I), Amadou Belly Guisse Amadou (Assistant II), and Sory Ibrahima Keita Sory (Fourth Official) will assist 34-year-old Traore.
Wafae Bekkouch of Morocco is the General Coordinator; Yahya Hadqa of Morocco is the Referee Assessor; and Husham Mohamed Ahmed Elamin of Sudan is the Security Officer.
When the two teams meet on November 25, the Mauves and Yellow side will be hoping to upset possible group champions Al Ahly far away in North Africa.
The young Africans from Tanzania, CR Belouizdad from Algeria, and Al Ahly form a formidable bunch for the Tarkwa boys, who are participating in the competition for the first time.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 21:00 in Cairo.
