Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor says he is wary of Morocco threat ahead of tonight’s international friendly clash in Rabat.
The Black Stars are set to face the Atlas Lions away in Rabat as part of preparations for the commencement of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in September.
Ghana will be without some key players, notably Deputy Captain, Thomas Partey, Mubarak Wakaso, Richard Ofori among others due to varied reasons as announced by the Ghana Football Association.
Akonnor believes his outfit will have to go the extra mile to get a good result in their international friendly clash with Morocco on Tuesday.
“We’ve had challenges in getting the boys on board and it has been difficult but we have managed to get a full house now.”
“Tactically, we have done some good work, which we believe will work for us if we are able to assess the opponents correctly.
“They are very close to each other and play to the best of their ability, which makes it difficult for us.
“We might not have some key personnel in the team, but I think those who are replacing them should be able to do a good job.
“The way Morocco play, you must have a strategy to challenge them, so I’m looking forward to a disciplined team.
“The way we came together was not solid, we are dealing with what we have but I am happy with the work we have put in and the response from the players.
The game is scheduled for 19:00GMT at the FAR Sportive stadium in Rabat.
