The Black Meteors have begun camping at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram ahead of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in June.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko has called up twenty-two players to prepare for the upcoming U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
According to the GFA, ”players who received call-ups are drawn from clubs in the betPawa Premier League and some lower tier clubs”.
Ghana have been handed a tough passage to the U23 Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2023 after being drawn in Group A with hosts Morocco, Guinea and Congo.
The Black Meteors will face Morocco in the tournament’s opener on Saturday 24 June 2023 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
The U23 AFCON will be staged in Morocco from June 24- July 8, 2023 in Morocco.
The first three nations will get their ticket for the Summer Olympics in 2024.
This is a chance for Ghana to play at the 2024 Summer Olympics which will staged in Paris after missing out since 2004 in Athens, Greece.
