Black Princesses Head Coach Ben Fokuo has expressed his delight with his side’s early camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of excellence, Prampram as they gear up for the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Ghana’s Female U20 side, resumed camping last week in their bid to prepare for the World showpiece slated in Costa Rica.
The Black Princesses face a daunting task in the Competition as they are drawn in group D alongside, defending Champions Japan, USA and Netherlands.
Speaking to GFA.org the Gaffer believes early preparation is a step in the right direction for his outfit.
“ We resumed camping on Sunday, but we had majority of the players coming on Monday since some
were featuring in the Women’s FA cup finals” Coach Fokuo said.
“Everyone is responding well to training so far. We are still waiting for the foreign based players as we have only Jacqueline Owusu in camp at the moment”.
We are taking them through series of training and their fitness level is good because they were active at their club side. It is good to start camping early to get us ready for the World Cup” he added.
The FIFA U20 World Cup is scheduled to kick off on 10th August 2022.
