Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been praised by President Nana Akufo Addo, who described him as a leader who has continuously worked to promote peace, reconciliation, and national unity.

The President emphasized how Otumfuo has gained widespread recognition both domestically in Ghana and abroad for his effective efforts to promote communication in contentious situations.

The President praised the Asantehene for his contribution to modernizing the chieftaincy institution and resolving conflicts within the Asante Kingdom during his speech on Sunday at the celebration commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Asantehene’s reign.

“For a quarter of a century, Otumfuo osei Tutu II has served as the symbol of unity, progress and tradition for the Asante kingdom and indeed for the entire nation of Ghana.”

“Otumfuo’s commitment to the welfare of his people coupled with his strong leadership has earned him the respect and admiration of all,” Akufo Addo stated.
