Anas Aremeyaw Anas

Anas Aremeyaw Anas, an undercover journalist, reports that his team plans to launch a new investigative project in January 2024.

He disclosed that the project, which centers on Ghanaian organized crime syndicates, will be graphic and shocking.

He revealed the information during a conversation about the role of undercover journalists in fighting organized crime in Africa with Stephanie Busari of CNN at the Disruptionlab Network Event in Germany.

Regarding his most recent endeavor, Anas Aremeyaw Anas stated that BBC Africa Eye will air the documentary.

“The film that I have seen, which is likely to be released on the BBC in January, shocked me, and I can tell you, get ready for a shocker on the BBC Africa Eye… It will go globally, it will play on the world service, it will play on BBC Africa Eye, but even me, when I saw the film and I got to the middle, I got out and I went away because the scenes are gory, people can be evil,” he said.

It’s unclear how this will affect discourse leading up to the election, but the release of his most recent project will occur at the same time as Ghana’s election year.

Charles Adu Boahen, the Minister of State in the Finance Ministry, was fired as a result of his most recent project.

The President said in a statement that he had acted upon learning of the accusations of bribery and corruption made against Adu Boahen.
