Ampem Darkoa Ladies are champions of the 2021/22 Women’s Premier League following a 5-4 penalties win over rivals Hasaacas Ladies on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadoium.

The ‘Nanamma’ have halted the dominance and the unbeaten run of the Hasmal Ladies this season.

Hasaacas Ladies took the lead in the 19th minute through Success Ameyaa who converted beautifully from the spot.

But Ampem Darkoa Ladies replied immediately through spot kick that was expertly converted by Comfort Yeboah.

The second half was totally dominated by Ampem Darkoa Ladies with Tracey Twum, Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah and Mavis Owusu tormenting the Hasaacas Ladies defence but the ‘’Nanama’’ failed to take their chances as the game travelled beyond 90 minutes.

No goals were recorded in the extra time as both teams pushed to penalties where Ampem Darkoa Ladies emerged as winners.

This is Ampem Darkoa’s third Women’s League title.

They will thus represent Ghana in next seasons TotalEnergies CAF Women Champions League.
