Black Stars Head Coach C.K Akonnor has named 29 man squad to face South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Coach Akonnor has settled on nine homebased players for the double header after initially camping 32 players who ply their trade in Ghana.

The local based players include: Gladson Awako, Joseph Esso, Ismael Ganiyu, Razak Abalora, Eric Ofori Antwi and Kwame Opoku.

Black Satellites trio, Danlad Ibrahim, Philemon Baffuor and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku have also been named.

Surprise omission are captain, Andre Ayew, his brother Jordan and Arsenal star Thomas Partey.

Ghana are top of Group C ahead of the last round of group matches.
