Ghana’s U23 Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko has announced a provisional 29 man squad ahead of the upcoming U-23 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.
The lads will depart Accra on Monday for Cairo for two weeks camping ahead of the competition.
According to a statement from the GFA, ”Kamaldeen Sulemana and Ransford-Yeboah Koniigsdoffer who are part of the Black Stars squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar will join the Black Meteors after the match on June 18”.
The Black Meteors have been drawn in Group A alongside host Morocco, Congo and Guinea.
Coach Tanko’ lads sealed their qualification to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after eliminating Algeria 2-1 on aggregate over two legs.
The tournament will serve as qualification to the Olympic Games to be staged in Paris in July 2024 as the best three teams from the competition will represent Africa.
The 2023 TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations will be staged in Morocco between June 24 and July 8, 2023.
