Hosts Morocco booked a place in the semis of the Afcon U-23 competition as they ran riot over Ghana in Group A Match-Day 2 of the CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023.

The humiliation at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Tuesday night was the biggest defeat the Meteors have suffered in the CAF U23 history.

Ghana’s vulnerable defensive line was exploited by the relentless attacking mindset of the Moroccan side throughout the entire period of the game.

Coach Tanko’s lads were annihilated with a resounding 5-1 victory leaving Ghana third on the Group A standings needing a must win game against Guinea to book a place in the semi-finals of the competition.
