The Black Stars of Ghana shared points with Central African Republic in Group E of the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Sunday.

Mohammed Kudus gave Ghana the lead inside 18 minutes as he beautifully controlled a pass from Felix Afena Gyan before curling a low shot into the left bottom corner.

The Wild Beasts equalized before halftime after mix up in the Ghanaian midfield as Karl Namnganda sent in a powerful volley into the roof of the net for the equalizer.

The second half of the encounter produced no goals as both teams failed to register a single shot on target.

The Black Stars continue to lead Group E on goal difference as they are level on four points with Angola while Central Africa and Madagascar have one point apiece.

Ghana will face Angola in a double header in matchday three and four in September as race for the top spot in Group E of the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers was blown wide open on Sunday
