Afronita and Abigail, the Ghanaian dancing duo from Britain’s Got Talent, wowed the crowd and their home supporters with their performance.
Afronita, a dance instructor, and her student Abigail, seven, won the public vote and a spot in Sunday’s final on Thursday after storming to victory in the fourth semi-final.
Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli could not hear themselves speak as they gave their critiques because the Eventim Apollo crowd was roaring so loudly.
Simon also said that he had “changed his mind” on who he thought would win and that he thought the two might have a chance to win.
Asked how the comments made her feel, Afronita said: ‘I feel blessed. I feel so so blessed to be here and to see the audience on their feet, the judges happy. It’s crazy. And I know she feels the same way [gesturing to Abigail].’
Abigail and Afronita earned a place in the final along with choir Northants Sings Out.
