Given that he was formerly affiliated with Olympique Marseille, Black Stars captain Andre Ayew says it feels good to score against Paris Saint-Germain.
The 34-year-old spent eight years on the books of Marseille, PSG’s main derby rivals, when he began his professional career.
Le Havre held PSG to a 3-3 draw on Saturday at the Parc de Prince, thanks to a goal from Andre, postponing PSG’s Ligue 1 title celebrations.
Andre mentioned the rivalry between PSG and Marseille in his post-game remarks.
“It is a good feeling, you know, to score against Paris especially because I am a Marseille boy. The rivalry between the two clubs is very big,” he told journalist Nana Ama Agyemang.
“Everything is going really well. Personally, I am physically fit. I am getting back to my best shape bit by bit. I was injured for a while so I didn’t sign for a club early.”
