Laryea Kingston, a former Ghana international, has been appointed the Black Starlets’ new coach.
Former Hearts of Oak captain Jacob Nettey and Nana Agyemang will provide assistance to Laryea Kingston.
Kingston was formerly the assistant coach for the Black Starlets under Karim Zito.
Laryea Kingston represented the Black Stars in two Africa Cup of Nations (2006 and 2008) and earned 42 caps.
The new technical team’s job is to put together a strong team for the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations and the upcoming WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations in Accra.
Laryea pursued his international career in Russia, Scotland, the Netherlands, Israel, and Saudi Arabia for thirteen years while residing abroad.
Accra Hearts of Oak won the renowned CAF Champions League in 2000 thanks to the leadership of Jacob Nettey.
Nettey played for the Black Stars in the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations, which Ghana and Nigeria jointly hosted, and she represented Ghana in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.
