After suffering two straight losses, Abubakar Ouattara’s team triumphed 3-1 over Karela United after coming back from behind.

The Phobian’s three straight losses in the Ghanaian premier league were terminated by a double from Hamza Issah and a thunderous strike from Salim Adams.

Dafie Mumin Mohammed scored the first goal at the Accra Sports Stadium, but the visitors took the lead after just two minutes.

After Emmanuel Anarfo’s flick inside the 18-yard box, the defender headed his team up in less than three minutes.

Enoch Asubonteng, a midfielder for Hearts, missed a close range opportunity to tie the score in the 16th minute when Martin Karikari’s exquisite cross went away.

After missing two clear opportunities to score, Hamza Issah—who currently leads the team with 11 goals—finally got his name on the scoreboard.

When Linda Mtange’s harmless cross was mishandled by goalkeeper Nasiru Abdul-Karim in the 27th minute, the young striker had the easiest task of tapping in.

In the second half, a dominant Hearts of Oak team had the ball in the net twice more.

Salim Adams, a midfielder, gave the home team a well-earned lead in the 63rd minute with a piledriver, smashing the ball from quite a distance.

After scoring from the penalty spot to finish the rout in Accra, the capital, Hamza Issah made up for the multiple close calls.

Abubakar Ouattara’s team needed to react after losing three straight games before winning on Saturday, so it’s a huge relief.

With 35 points, Hearts has moved up to the 10th spot in the league, while Karela United have dropped to the 14th spot.
