The TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal second leg matchup between Ghana’s Dreams FC and Mali’s Stade Malien has been assigned to Ethiopian Bamlak Tessema Weyesa.
The forty-three-year-old clinical coordinator and medical researcher began officiating in 2003 and advanced to the international FIFA referee ranks in 2009.
Having officiated at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and the most recent Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire, Bamlak has a ton of experience officiating in Africa and overseas.
The first leg match in Mali saw Antwi’s heroics take centre stage as he scored twice to lead the Ghanaian team to victory away from home.
On Sunday, April 7, 2024, the game is set to begin at 16:00 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. Dreams FC leads the match 2-1 after winning the first leg.
