The Ghana Investment Promotion Center’s 20th Ghana Club 100 event revealed that Newmont Ghana (Ahafo South Mine) has emerged as the nation’s top mine.

The mining behemoth defeated 99 other businesses.

Zeepay, a financial technology company that ranked #1 in the 19th edition of the awards, placed 13th this time around.

Amanex Company Limited and Scancom Plc Ghana, the owners of MTN Ghana, placed second and third, respectively.

Benso Oil Palm Plantation Limited, Anglogold Ashanti Limited, Dansworld International Services, Abosso Goldfields Limited, GoldFields Ghana (Tarkwa Mine), Newmont Golden Ridge Limited (Akyem Mine), and FBN Bank Ghana were ranked fourth through tenth, respectively.

This year’s edition was on the theme “Accelerating Economic Growth: Amplifying Ghana’s Global Market Footprint through AFCFTA”. It was aimed at fostering an effective mechanism for assessing Ghanaian companies, while instilling the character and confidence needed by businesses to compete in the global marketplace.

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement, according to GIPC CEO Yofi Grant, offers Ghanaian companies a fantastic chance to grow into other African nations.
