A moderate-intensity Earthquake struck several areas of Accra on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at approximately 7:18 a.m.

This morning’s tremor was felt by residents of Gbawe, Nsakina, Obeyeyie, Kasoa, Sowutuom, Sarpeiman, Ngleshie Amanfro and Pokuase Amanfrom.

The Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GSSA) has not yet verified the full scope of the disaster.

On the other hand, the GSSA has stated that a group of seismologists are actively collecting information to ascertain the epicenter, magnitude, and more details of this occurrence.

Parts of Accra also felt a little earthquake on March 10 of this year; the Ghana Geological Survey Authority recorded the earthquake’s magnitude as 2.8 on the Richter scale.

In a same vein, on December 12, 2022, there were three tremors in Accra within a five-hour period.
