Andre Ayew, the captain of the Black Stars, moved to Le Havre AC as a free agent in Ligue 1.
After reaching an agreement to play for the rest of the season, the 33-year-old was escorted onto the field at the Stade Océane ahead of Le Havre’s match against AS Monaco on Saturday.
After spending the second half of the previous season in the English Premier League with Nottingham Forest, he was a free agent.
Born in France, Ayew established his career in Ligue 1 with Marseille before joining Swansea City in the English Premier League in 2015.
He has over 100 caps for Ghana’s Black Stars.
Before spending eighteen months in Qatar with Al Sadd, where he played under current Barcelona manager Xavi Hernández, he previously played for West Ham United and Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe.
