Head coach of Ampem Darkoa, Ghana’s representative in the ongoing women’s CAF Champions League has said there will be no room for blunders in their Group B game agsinst AS Mande, Thursday night.
Joe Nana Adarkwa’s comment comes after a satisfying victory over the reigning champions, As FAR Rabat in their opening Group B game.
The ‘Nanamia’ Lass were prone to errors, but managed to escape with the victory by defeating the competition’s defending champions 2-1.
The manager claims that he is making every effort to rectify the errors made by his team in order to prevent a repeat of those mistakes in Thursday night’s second game against AS Mande.
“We were almost written off in that game on Monday against As Far, but we fought through and got that win,” he explained.
“I also realized there were a number of mistakes during our first half play, especially, and we are working towards that so we do not repeat them” , Coach Adarkwa said.
If the Techiman-based club defeats As Mande, they advance to the knockout stage. The team has three points from their opening game and is presently leading Group B.
