The Black Meteors of Ghana are out of the CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2023 following a 1-1 draw with Guinea on Friday.
The draw means Guinea secured a place in the semi-finals of the competition, placing second in Group A behind hosts Morocco.
Coach Tanko’s lads desperately needed the win against the Guineans to redeem themselves following the embarrassing 5-1 loss to the tournament hosts, Morocco, on Tuesday.
Emmanuel Yeboah put Ghana in the lead in the 34th minute at the Ibn-Batouta Stadium in Tangier. However, Ibrahima Fofana levelled the score in the 60th minute to secure Guinea their advancement to the next stage of the competition.
