Black Meteors Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko is unhappy with his team’s performance despite picking a vital win over Congo Brazzaville in a Group A clash in Rabat.
The lads after leading 3-0 before the 90th minute shockingly conceded two in the dying minutes of the game.
Despite taking the bragging rights of the Group A contest, the Gaffer has insisted he was not satisfied with the result, claiming his side should have stayed focused until the final whistle.
“I am so angry with my players. How could we fail to manage the game well and finish like this. I think my players had forgotten that they were playing a major tournament to let in two goals towards the end of the match” Tanko lashed out.
The Borussia Dortmund legend called for more concentration by his team going into the remaining matches. “We will remind them of the objectives that need to be achieved and the importance of our presence here,” added the coach.
The Meteors will return to action on Tuesday with a crucial Group A clash against hosts Morocco.
