Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil says they are concentrating on claiming the three points when Ghana travel to Madagascar for a Group E 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday.
Ghana are in search of a third win in their bid to seal qualification for the AFCON 2023 to be hosted in La Cote D’ivore.
Asked if players are focused on individual goals rather than a win, the Genk star said:
“It’s not about individual achievement but a collective team goal. I am not thinking about scoring or providing assists, even though that’s my strength but our goal is to play as a team and win for the nation” Painstil said in a presser on Thursday.
“The players are at a very good level with the right mentality, they are really ready for it and we always talk about it, our full focus is on the game”
The players are also rating to pick the three points and make it to the tournament “
“The past is the past and they are always focused on the game. I think they are really ready to give their all for the fans and for Ghanaians.” the former Tema Youth winger added.
The Senior National team needs a win to secure qualification for next year’s TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
