Hearts of Oak

Dejected Nsoatreman coach Mumuni Abubakari has pointed to poor officiating when he was asked about their loss to Accra Hearts of Oak in Match-Day 26 of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League game played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Nsoatreman FC lost 2-1 to the Phobians through Prince Ofori’s own goal and a strike from Yaw Baafi doubled the Phobians’ advantage with his 66th minute goal.

Coach Mumuni Abubakari’ Side were awarded a penalty after Hearts defender Addo Sowah’s handball but made a U-turn after consulting his assistant. Speaking after the game the visitors Gaffer expressed his displeasure.

He told StarTimes: “The score line shouldn’t have been where it is had it not been poor officiating. I think the referee is not on top of his game because the penalty he whistled for, who compelled him to whistle for the penalty? What did he see and he whistled? What happened he has to confide in the fourth referee? I think some of these things have to stop. He has thwarted our effort. Officiating has thwarted our effort. That is the summary of the game.”

The loss means Nsoatreman are winless in four games.

They will host King Faisal for their next game.
