Chris Hughton’s unveiling slated on March 20 – GFA

The Ghana Football Association has revealed that as part of the build-up to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations match against Angola, newly appointed Black Stars head Coach Chris Hughton will be unveiled in Kumasi on Monday, March 20, 2023.

According to the GFA, the former Newcastle Utd gaffer ”will be presented to the media to share his vision, ideology, and expectations with the public in Kumasi.

”The first engagement between the coach and the media in Kumasi will be a platform for the Football Association to also make public the targets, terms of engagement, and other relevant information pertaining to the manager’s work” the GFA disclosed on Thursday.

Four times AFCON Champions, Ghana will host the Palancras Negras of Angola at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Thursday, March 23 before travelling to Luanda on March 27, 2023 for the reverse fixture.

The Senior National team are joint top of the Group E table with 4 points from two games following a 3-0 win over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw with Central African Republic in June last year.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations slated for Cote D’Ivoire in January next year.

The gaffer has named Twenty-five man squad for this month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola.
