The Black Galaxies came from behind to defeat Sudan in thriller as they won 3-1 to keep their knockout round hope alive in the ongoing TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.
Ghana bounced back from opening game defeat to Madagascar as goals from Konadu Yiadom, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Seidu Suraj were enough to ensure Coach Annor’ side record their first win in the tournament.
The win has sent them to second position with six points behind Madagascar.
The victory puts Ghana back into contention for a knock-out place which will be determined by the outcome of the final match of the group between Madagascar and Sudan on Monday evening.
The Galaxies will be without the services of Daniel Barnieh who was sent off in the dying minutes following a vicious tackle in the 97th minute.
