Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko have reportedly lodged complaint with the Ghana Football Association over poor refereeing decisions in their 1-1 stalemate against archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak in matchday 3 of the Ghana Premier League.
“The club after a careful study of yesterday’s game footage has filed a complaint with the GFA against the decisions of the officiating officials” a statement from the Porcupine Warriors reveals.
The complaint is made on two counts, that is, denying the team an obvious penalty in the second half following a tackle on Steven Mukwala and also second half push on Eric Serge Zeze by Hearts of Oak jersey number 35.
Two second half goals were scored as Hearts’ Caleb Amankwah smashed home a header from close range in the 88th minute to silence the home fans.
Kotoko’s Yussif Mubarik took the lead in 57 minutes as he quickly scramble home to give the Porcupine Warriors a deserved lead.
Kotoko have one point after their first game.
They will face Nsoatreman FC in an outstanding Ghana Premier League game on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
